Purring in time with the universe

Hare in landscape 1

2021

In the series Hare and landscape, done working with handcut stencils and Golden open acrylics. The paint has a wonderful glow. The gelprinting process adds great texture. Monoprint. I worked in three layers, three colors laid down one after another. Working in threes is a wonderful exercise for understanding color mixing. I love it.

Moon Landscape

2021

In the series Hare and landscape, there are a lot of moon prints. This one will look great next to Hare in landscape 1. The series Hare and landscape was done working with handcut stencils and Golden open acrylics. The paint has a wonderful glow. The gelprinting process adds great texture. Monoprint. I worked in three layers, three colors laid down one after another. Working in threes is a wonderful exercise for understanding color mixing. I love it.

Leaf work / Dancing fern

2021

Another in the monoprint series of Leaf work. I love how the red yellow and blue work together. Leaf work is a series of monoprints - as I work with fresh leaves this kind of work can only be done during summer.

Dear Linde

2021

In the series on Leafs and trees I worked with the leafs of several kinds of trees. The cool colors in this one make it a great piece to rest your eyes on. Leaf work is a series of monoprints done with fresh leaves - so it can only be done during spring and sommer. I rather like that this work makes one more sensitive to the seasons.

Ferns

Jungle 1

2019

This print was done using the springy leafs and branches from one of my garden plants. Actually, it was quite the struggle to make them work for me. The end result was lovely though.

Plantlike

2019

One of the first monoprints with material from my own garden. It takes a bit of work to get the right composition. There's a bit of chance at work in this kind of monoprinting. It's done using branches of a bush in my garden, but the print to me reads as trees or forest.

Leaf work / Spring 1

2021

In the monoprint series Leafwork, monoprints done on gelplate using Golden open acrylics. The colors are lovely even when used in such thin layers as these paints allow. The color scheme with a cool red, warm blue and a yellow sometimes mix to a quite dark end result. Still the leafs used were spring green and lush straight from the tree.

Carrots and roots

2021

A new idea came up when I was making monoprints about the hare and landscape elements, using handcut stencils. Logic got a little lost and I jumped from hares to rabbits to carrots. Another example of how the pandemic affected my art! During lockdowns I suddenly had more time to spend at home and in the garden and tried growing vegetables. Carrots didn't want to grow - but they did come up in my monoprints.

Wetlands

2013

In the series of abstract landscapes in reds and yellows.

Beach

2013

In the series Abstract landscapes. A series of monoprints in reds and yellows.
