One of the first lockdown collages. The first few pieces I had to start making painted paper. As lockdown felt awful - I wanted colors to cheer me up. I worked with texture on the gelli plate and printed papers in warm colors (yellows,reds and oranges).
For this one- the cut piece of abstract texture felt like it was enough as is. It needed nothing but itself, cut loosely to fit the backing.

The idea of lockdown collages was:
- I make art regularly -every day if I can;
- I can do it at home with small bits of monoprint paper - painted papers - using artist quality paint and other paints.
- The base on which to play with collage (almost) always an A5 card stock;
- I work in a wabi sabi manner - to play, work intuitively and not strive for perfection.
